Questions
Countertop FAQs
What's the difference between granite and quartz?
Granite is natural stone cut from a quarry, so every slab has its own pattern. Quartz is engineered from crushed natural quartz and resin, which gives a consistent color and a non-porous surface that never needs sealing.
How long does installation take?
Most countertop installs are done in 1 to 2 days once the stone is fabricated. We give you the full timeline with your quote.
Do you remove my old countertops?
Yes. We tear out the existing tops, check that the cabinets are level and reinforce the base where needed before the new stone goes in.
How do I clean stone countertops?
Mild soap, warm water and a soft cloth. Skip abrasive cleaners and bleach, and wipe spills up quickly. We go over care for your specific stone at install.
Why don't you list prices?
Countertop jobs vary too much to price online. Size, layout, the slab you pick, edges and cutouts all change the number. We measure in your home and give you one written price.
Is the estimate really free?
Yes. The phone consult, the in-home visit and the measured quote cost nothing.
